The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program prepares the student through the process of critical thinking, designing, and making to provide meaningful contributions to our built environment through the practice of architecture and urban design. We work to develop each student's individual capacity through critical thought, rigorous exploration, and personal design vision.

The Masters of Architecture explores new approaches to architectural practice, through making, innovation and collaboration. This two-year, studio-based course, is the second part of the three-part qualification in becoming an architect. This design-based professional qualification, accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB). You’ll work alongside fellow makers, collaborators, and enablers who have come from different schools around the world; you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across the arts.

SCI-Arc’s M.Arch 1 is a three-year, seven-term, professional Master of Architecture program. The core of the program involves architectural experimentation and learning through making.

The Master of Architecture is a focused, professional degree and is required to become a practising architect. It is the second of two degrees, undertaken after the successful completion of the Bachelor of Design in Architecture (C10004) or equivalent.

The Master of Science (MSc) is a two-year degree which encompasses both coursework and research. The first year involves mainly coursework and preliminary research preparation. Students will have the opportunity to contribute to existing fields of research, or to begin to develop new areas.

Master of Architecture In 2011, the UCD School of Architecture, Planning & Environmental Policy celebrated its centenary. The School has long led the way in architectural study and practice in Ireland. Its undergraduate, graduate, and research programs cover all aspects of the practice of architecture and landscape architecture, as well as advanced areas of conservation, sustainability, urbanism, and history and theory.

A limited number of places are offered each year to suitably qualified students to follow a program of study leading to this award. This degree is for graduates seeking to extend and deepen their knowledge by undertaking an appropriate research investigation under professional supervision by UTS: Design, Architecture and Building academic staff.

The two-year master's degree in Architecture and Construction is a continuation of the four-year bachelor's degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering in the same field of study. The emphasis in the master's study is on architectural design and building disciplines, which are an integral part of every construction work.

High-quality architecture always contains a reference to historical and contemporary global architecture. Italy is the best place for the exploration of the origin of Architecture and at the same time the observation of avant-garde design in the new works of amazing world-class architects. Moreover, the Innovative Concept of our Master of Architecture, the combination of theory with real international work which we have realized in five venues in the world develops a new approach to the course: "Study in work environment" where all the lectures will apply directly to the adventure of real work with its complexity and its fascinating combination of materials, space, light, functions, and construction.

The Master of Landscape Architecture provides students with the opportunity to collaborate alongside celebrated practitioners from award-winning international design studios and leading experts in the area of urban design. Students engage in a variety of projects that are based upon the big questions that face global contemporary cities and landscapes: urban densification, climate change, declining resource supply (land, food and water) and the loss of biological diversity through ecological fragmentation and habitat destruction. Using the most relevant and up-to-date methodologies and technologies, students participate in practice-based studios to develop their complex problem-solving skills in order to address the critical role of landscape in the cities of the future. Students who do not meet the admission requirement prerequisites below are encouraged to apply for the Graduate Certificate in Landscape Architecture, and progress to the Masters via the Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.

The MA in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes the study of the history of both architecture and art. It is a complete Master which aims at counteracting the growing marginalisation of architecture in art history studies. At the same time, the study of the history of art and architecture in different eras (medieval, modern and contemporary) is complemented by in-depth studies on the theory and criticism of architecture, artistic literature, the history and practice of restoration (with moments of practice in the field), museology and digital humanities with an eye towards other artistic and cultural expressions like photography, cinema, theatre, and literature. Practical workshops and internships in affiliated institutions complete the Master's training offer.

The Master of Architecture program aims to Provide professional architectural education; Educate graduates who have a pre-professional architecture degree, provide an in-depth knowledge base and skill sets to become practitioners in architecture sectors; Provide a theme-based evidence-driven approach to professional practice, students will explore emerging challenges such as sustainable design and planning.

The Master of Architecture is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board as a first professional degree, a requirement of licensure for becoming a practicing architect in the United States, and a terminal degree for many design educators around the globe.

The Master of Planning (MPlan) degree requires two years of full-time, or the equivalent in part-time, study and entails postgraduate coursework in planning and planning-related subjects, as well as a significant piece of supervised research. There are two streams: one involving a thesis, and the other a research project. The normal admission requirement for both streams is a completed Bachelor's degree in any subject(s) relevant to planning.

Acknowledging the rapidly changing social and professional contexts in which it is situated, the Master of Architecture is a distinctly future oriented course. It provides rigorous understanding of contemporary professional architecture practice; encourages students to combine this with their individual life-wide learning and experiences; and supports them in developing skills of future literacy, to become autonomous agents of positive change.
