Agriculture in the region is an important phase change due to the increase in irrigated areas, resulting from the Multi-Purpose Alqueva Venture (EFMA), especially in crops such as vegetables, fruit, vineyards, and olive groves. As such, there is an increased demand for technicians with training in these areas, hence the Master’s Degree in Agronomy. The study areas of Horticulture, Fruit Growing, Viticulture, and Olive Growing are contemplated in the Master Study Plan. This course is extremely important, in that it aims at training technicians in agricultural areas with great potential for the region and in which there is a growing need for knowledge.
