The Graduate Program in Agroecosystems at UFS (NEREN) (http://www.posgraduacao.ufs.br/neren) aims to train researchers at the Academic Master's level to conduct studies and research in i) Plant health, ii) Phytotechnics and Plant physiology, iii) Management and recovery of agroecosystems and iv) Genetic resources and Plant breeding. The Master Course in Agroecosystems at UFS addresses production in a sustainable manner, promoting the improvement of existing technologies and the practice of new agricultural technological processes. The Program will award a Master of Science degree and has the following specific objectives: a) To train qualified personnel for the development of scientific research and higher education aimed at production in agroecosystems; b) Encourage research in the area of agro-ecosystem production; c) Produce, disseminate and apply knowledge about production in agroecosystems in the economic and cultural reality of the country, with a view to exchanging experiences with other regions of the world.
