Agroecology supports the development of resilient food ecosystems. It does so by drawing on science, social studies, and ecological principles to foster synergies between plants, animals, humans and the wider environment.

The focus is on agroecosystems, on holistic methodology for their study, evaluation and improvement, attitudes, ethics and values, and on individual and group-based learning. Learning is based on exploring real-life farm and food systems cases.

The course Technologies for the Ecological Transition in Agriculture provides knowledge and skills in the different areas of agricultural sciences to train specialists capable of guiding and supporting the ecological transition of the production and management processes of agricultural companies. The teaching regulations specify the organizational aspects of the Course of Study, according to the corresponding regulations, respecting the freedom of teaching and the rights and duties of teachers and students.
