This specialism in Marine Technology aims to give students advanced training on typical problems of hydrodynamics applied to naval architecture and ocean engineering: ship resistance, seakeeping, ship behaviour in irregular seas, water, waves and marine environment... physical, modelling and numerical aspects are studied.

The Faculty of Marine Engineering offers English studies in the Mechanical Engineering field with specialization in Marine Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation. Studies in Marine Engineering aim to prepare high-class experts in marine power plant operation.

This is a balanced curriculum incorporating mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and environmental sciences. The Ship Management Course trains marine engineers for large vessels, and the Mechatronics Course teaches the theory of component technology related to heat, materials, fluids, and environment.

The graduate study of Marine Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies lasts two years, i.e. four semesters (120 ECTS points). Upon completion of the graduate study, students acquire the academic degree of Master's degree in Technology (M.Tech.) in Marine Electrical Engineering and Communication Technologies.
