5 Online Marine Biology Degree Programs

In this course, we will explore the diverse marine ecosystems of the Pacific side of Costa Rica through immersive field studies, we will focus on rocky reef ecology, mangrove ecosystems, intertidal zone ecology, plankton ecology, marine biodiversity, conservation practices, local fishing, and the role of genetics in marine conservation.

A research program in marine biology will focus on the scientific study of marine life, including all organisms in the sea ranging from microscopic plankton to large fish.

MSc MARRES – International & Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Ocean Science, Conservation & Innovation As the world increasingly recognizes the crucial role of the ocean in our lives, it has become essential for scientific and socio-economic stakeholders to collaborate effectively. The MSc MARRES program was designed in response to the evolving job market driven by the rise of Blue Growth worldwide. The Blue Managers track is a one-year master’s program offering a unique learning experience in marine science and management. It is open to English-speaking candidates with at least three years of professional experience in a related field or a master’s degree in any discipline, who seek to transition into marine conservation or marine resource innovation.

With the increasing pressures on the marine environment, both in the South Pacific region and worldwide, experts in the conservation and management of marine organisms and ecosystems are in demand.

This study program commits to developing fisheries and marine biotechnology concerning aquatic biota health biotechnology, aquaculture biotechnology, and fishery product biotechnology. Our vision is to become an independent, innovative, and advanced study program implementing morality aspects in developing science and technology relating to fisheries biotechnology at the national and international level.
