The Master of Applied Politics (MAP), in cooperation with the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics and The University of Akron Political Science Department, is one of only a handful of graduate programs in the United States focusing on practical politics and experiential learning. It is designed for students interested in election campaigns, digital strategy and messaging, fundraising, managing organizations, and other political activities.

Graduates will become leaders and innovators in the Child and Family Development field through an advanced interdisciplinary and experiential education that prepares professionals who will contribute to the well-being of individuals, families, and global communities through careers working with children and families.

The Master of Arts in English provides students with strong practical and theoretical grounding as you prepare to move forward into careers or into graduate and professional school. In this program, you will find faculty who are accessible and eager to work with students to help you develop papers for publication in refereed journals, create proposals for presentation at regional and national conferences, and prepare a curriculum for use in your own teaching.

This program is for students and professionals interested in strategically creating and managing messages in the contexts of social media and health and crisis communication. You will develop skills in social media analytics, data storytelling, informatics, data analysis, multimedia production, and more.
