The Master of Arts in interreligious dialogue: Science, Philosophy and Theology of Religions, promoted by the Re.Te. Institute ("Religions and Theology") of the Lugano Faculty of Theology, has been designed to provide extensive knowledge of the major world religions, explain their basic principles, their different structures, and their history. The Master’s course aims to teach its students to promote and develop a dialogue with members of other religions, precisely by gaining an appreciation of other religions and learning how to communicate and hold effective interaction.

The MA in History and Theory of Art and Architecture (MSTAA) includes the study of the history of both architecture and art. It is a complete Master which aims at counteracting the growing marginalisation of architecture in art history studies. At the same time, the study of the history of art and architecture in different eras (medieval, modern and contemporary) is complemented by in-depth studies on the theory and criticism of architecture, artistic literature, the history and practice of restoration (with moments of practice in the field), museology and digital humanities with an eye towards other artistic and cultural expressions like photography, cinema, theatre, and literature. Practical workshops and internships in affiliated institutions complete the Master's training offer.

The Master in International Tourism seeks to respond to this challenge and offers a program that goes beyond the limited focus of professional masters courses, proposing instead a transversal and multidisciplinary approach at a university level.

Il percorso di Master proposto dall'Istituto di studi italiani presenta una peculiarità del tutto singolare rispetto all'offerta formativa delle altre Università, perché si fonda su un piano di studi costituito da corsi che, ogni anno, si raccolgono attorno a un tema specifico: unità tematica che diviene stimolo e concreta occasione di interdisciplinarità. Esso intende offrire ai suoi studenti l'acquisizione di un maturo diritto di cittadinanza nel dominio della parola, che permetterà loro di interrogare il presente, incamminarsi consapevolmente verso il futuro e, soprattutto, di riconoscere la propria singolarità di persone.

The Master in Public Management and Policy – PMP, is offered by the Università della Svizzera italiana in collaboration with the universities of Lausanne, the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration - IDHEAP, and Bern within the framework of the inter-university network “Swiss Public Administration Network.” Supported by the Swiss Confederation, this master’s program is designed to train qualified professionals ready to effectively and swiftly tackle the challenges of the contemporary public sector.
