8 Spirituality MA Degree Programs

The first program of its kind in Canada, the MA in Transformative Leadership and Spirituality offers a progressive, multidisciplinary approach to help you build your capacity as a leader for positive change. In this Master’s program, you will engage with the latest research on the intellectual, spiritual, personal, and professional dimensions of leadership.

The objective of the master’s program is to train specialists to counsel and guide couples or individuals with regard to their values, their spirituality, as well as both their individual and couple dynamics and to prepare graduates for a career in research.

The MA is completed part-time over a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. Students at Sarum College usually complete the degree within three years (two years for the taught part and a further year for the dissertation).

The Master of Arts in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology is a 36-credit degree program that explores the nature, role, and development of human consciousness and transpersonal phenomena. What makes this program unique is that we have holistically integrated different perspectives into the coursework - psychological and spiritual, western and eastern, epistemological and clinical.

The Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation (MASF) is a degree that focuses on spiritual growth and leadership, nurtures personal spiritual formation, and provides skills and tools to lead others in spiritual formation. Within the comprehensive Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation (MASF) program, the Electives course, comprising 3 credits, offers students a valuable opportunity to tailor their educational journey to their specific interests and goals.

Asbury Seminary’s 48-hour Master of Arts in Pastoral and Spiritual Care* provides desired training in pastoral and spiritual care and counseling for those who do not wish to pursue licensure or certification and/or for those who will be working in countries where US licensure or certification are not required to work as pastoral counselors. It may also serve as an alternate degree path for denominations that will accept shorter degrees for ordination.
