International businesses have a growing need for senior personnel with high quality management skills and specialist regional knowledge. As Cluj-Napoca has become more and more important and has developed into an emerging region in Central and Eastern Europe, this MA International Business Administration responds to this need.

The Faculty of Philosophy, in a partnership with the Faculty of Business and Administration, are pleased to announce the launch of their new jointly organized MA program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, starting October 2017. It is the first PPE program in Romania, and one of the very few in Eastern Europe.

The two-year master program in comparative politics taught in English at the Political Science Faculty of the University of Bucharest is among the very few of its kind in Central, Eastern, and South-East Europe. The program provides students with an intellectually stimulating analysis of the key issues in regional and European politics, such as the changing dynamics of state power, the dimensions of regime change, and the challenge posed to states by ethnonationalism and political radicalisms. The program is on track to become of the elite graduate programs of the University of Bucharest in terms of internationalization and EU academic exchanges. A wide range of academic and institutional partnerships ensure enhanced professional skills for prospective students.

This is a two-year research master programme aiming to provide students with various useful skills and insights needed to do independent intellectual work in philosophy at postgraduate level.

The program addresses the current needs of the economic higher education system through a teaching process oriented towards the labor market that this highly influenced by changes and new requirements regarding the skills that graduates require. It offers the organizational framework to develop competencies for the identification and exploitation of international business opportunities. The program provides students with the know-how and skills to succeed in today’s competitive and globalized business environment. This is achieved by using a balanced mix of theoretical, practical and project-based active learning elements.

Master of Arts in COGNITIVE SCIENCE combines graduate studies and advanced research in a variety of areas of cognitive science.

This is an interdisciplinary programme offered by the Faculty of Philosophy via the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance and Sustainable Development.

The main objectives that this Master's program seeks to achieve can be summarized as follows: Appropriation and deepening of concepts, theories and methodology specific to the Department of International Management. At the same time, the master's program aims to deepen knowledge among students through DAAD, ERASMUS and ROTARY scholarships, but also to prepare them professionally for developing the necessary practical skills in German-speaking companies.

The master program focusses on the development of software development competences – for industry-oriented practitioners and industrial researchers, focusing on skills for working in novel or emerging paradigms with state-of-the-art technologies, and, respectively, scientific research competencies – for those aiming to pursue a doctoral degree or a research-oriented career in either academy or industry, emphasis is placed on how to organize a scientific research effort, covering methodologies, literature analysis and dissemination guidance on the topics addressed by the program.

The program’s main mission is to stimulate students’ passion for research while offering intensive training meant to facilitate their pursuit of a career in academia or business. We aim to extend knowledge from the nation towards the regional and international perspective, considering the similitude with US study programs.

The program provides the premises for the development of a unique managerial culture through an educational system that offers students the necessary skills for successfully conducting nowadays businesses. With classes taught entirely in English, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration develops a holistic approach of organizational management which revolves around a highly ranked curriculum incorporating theoretical and methodological aspects of business administration as well as practical aspects that define entrepreneurial behavior. After completion of this program, the graduates will have the necessary skills to identify business opportunities and develop business strategies for both start-ups and existing companies, to perform feasibility analysis of new business ideas and develop business plans, to apply concepts and principles of human resource management and knowledge management, to develop marketing strategies to sustain businesses, as well as to implement efficient operations within companies, and to apply strategic and ethical behavior.

This programme is organized by the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance and Sustainable Development (Faculty of Philosophy) in partnership with the Universities of Fribourg, Hamburg, Dortmund, Regensburg and Dijon.

The Master Documentary Film program prepares authors dedicated to this cinematographic genre. The study program addresses all aspects of training professionals in the field, combining theory with practice. The stages of creating and making the documentary are assumed conceptually and concretely by students, they are thus encouraged to address research topics in the area of cinematic language, working methods, role and social impact of documentary film.
