Our MA program also includes a strong writing component that prepares students for careers in writing, publishing, editing, and law.

English graduate study encompasses expanding fields of critical inquiry and writing craft. The MA in English program offers trajectories in literature and creative writing, through which all students critically and creatively engage with diverse literary texts and contexts while developing their writing voice as scholarly or creative writers and exploring a range of forms, discourses, and forums within the discipline.

The degree is designed to prepare students for further graduate study or for general educational purposes. This 36-hour degree can be completed entirely online or through international cohorts, in which the student will complete the majority of credits online or take select on-site hybrid or 1-week intensive courses.
