The Department of Jewish Philosophy (Jewish Thought and Kabbalah) in Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Jewish Studies is devoted to the research and teaching of all fields of Jewish philosophy from the classical period until the writing of Jewish philosophy in our days, including the study of Kabbalah and Hasidism. MA TESOL Program produces graduates with the skills to train teaching faculty who excel in their roles as educators, creative scholars, and researchers. This program will prepare teachers for a wide variety of positions both in the US and abroad. Our students will be equipped with the specialized knowledge and field skills for teaching English to speakers of other languages. Upon graduation, they will be competent professional educators with demonstrable leadership skills.

This is a 2-year program that provides for the professional development needs of practicing translators, translation project leaders, and translation consultants involved in the translation of the Bible and related material. It integrates training in Biblical languages, exegesis, translation principles, consulting, translation project management, and areas of linguistics directly relevant to Bible translation.

The Master’s degree in TESOL (MATESOL) has drawn students from the United States and at least 60 other countries. It has been a part of Saint Michael’s College since 1962.This 4-week, 120-hour summer professional training program covers all essential aspects of English language teaching from a practical classroom perspective. It offers concrete experience with methods and techniques that reflect current principles of communicative language teaching and learning. Graduates of this program receive a Diploma in TESOL and are typically hired by English-language programs in the US and other countries.

Spertus Institute's Master of Arts in Jewish Studies (MAJS) is a sequenced, content-specific program that explores Jewish civilization's evolving nature, the fundamental religious and intellectual outlook of Jews and Judaism, and the contributions of Jewish civilization to human civilization.

The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing is a low residency graduate program, which requires two weeks of residency every summer in Eastern Oregon and completing online courses and individualized study with MFA faculty the rest of the two-year curriculum.

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at USEK, founded in 2019, is the result of the merge of the Faculty of Letters, Philosophy and Humanities, Sciences and Music and is an academic reengineering process decided in 2017.
