8 Jewelry Design MA Degree Programs

Official Master's degree accredited by the Italian Ministry of Universities & Research. The two-year Master of Arts in Contemporary Jewelry Design offers a wide range of approaches and contexts, training professional avant-garde jewelry designers. Contemporary designs come from formal and semantic research, artisanal skills that transform into commercial, exploiting the potentials of e-commerce and social platforms in the creation of contemporary jewelry.

The MA Jewelry & Metal Arts program introduces professional practice in studio coursework, design, and concept. Graduate students focus on fabrication and casting skills, laser-cutting techniques, and exploring material choices.

The Jewellery & Metal programme seeks to unpick the relationship between people and things, pushing beyond the subject-object binary JaM students explore the multiple ways we are entrapped and enthralled by the complex entanglement of the material and immaterial worlds. In Poland, the industrial design grew out of the tradition of practical arts, establishing itself as an independent field in the late 1970s. Thus, by definition, industrial design is the design of the form and features of products intended to be marketed. Our MA Jewellery program encourages the development of an individual and distinctive jewelry practice through engagement with contemporary approaches to materials, and their relation to body and form.Pursuing exploration through a diverse range of material expressions, you will be encouraged to challenge preconceptions about materials and status within the world of jewelry, fashion, and craft.
