The goal of our International Studies MA is to train highly qualified experts in the social sciences who are able to think about the place and role of Hungary and the Central European region in an international and global context.

The MA in International Studies is a one year, full-time program which uses the disciplinary insights provided by international relations theories to investigate and explain contemporary international issues such as terrorism, nuclear proliferation, global inequality and child soldiers. The MA in Peace and Conflict Studies is an exciting international and interdisciplinary two-year Program focusing on violent conflict as well as its prevention and management. It is a unique Program that is jointly offered by the University of Kent and the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany and is taught in English.

The Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) is a two-year programme (120 ECTS) in English, which promotes interdisciplinary learning in a global context. Our MA programme equips students with critical analytical skills to address contemporary global issues. Focusing on some of the most relevant contemporary challenges such as climate change, energy transition, human rights, and military and technological competition, our program blends diverse disciplinary insights, including international relations, history, political theory, international law, and macroeconomics. Our students are also expected to acquire an excellent command of a second foreign language: French, German, Russian, or Spanish. The option of a third foreign language (Arabic or Chinese) is also available. Our graduates are trained to successfully pursue a career in diplomacy, international organizations, multinational corporations, and NGOs.

The Master’s degree program in European studies focuses on European issues relating to politics, culture, and history. You will work with the theme of European diversity and everything that ties Europeans together. Upon successful completion of the study program students receive an international private Master in Global Studies degree awarded by the school's main campus in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty of the local campuses where credits were earned, and upon the recommendation of the school's Academic Council.

It comprises course offers in the social sciences, politics, communication, and law. The program includes courses in the social sciences, political sciences, communication sciences, and law.

The M.A. in Israel Studies Program integrates historical and contemporary perspectives and focuses on the emergence of Zionist ideology and the global Jewish people, the pre-state communities under Ottoman and British rule, and the State of Israel.

The Graduate Diploma/Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (International) is a one-year taught programme and is offered on a full-time basis using a combination of faculty-student contact hours and self-directed learning and research. The MA is about exploring language in use in a wide variety of real-world situations and contexts (education, politics and wider society). The MA has a strong international focus both in practical terms with the possibility of an overseas semester, as well as advanced language options in English as a Foreign Language, French, German, Spanish (all languages may not run each year), and in theoretical terms reflecting faculty research interest in language and globalisation.

Three core modules have to be taken during the first semester of study. Students may, with the approval of the HOD, take two core modules in Semester 1 and one core module in Semester 2.
