Through studying art theories and collections, curatorial practice, art projects, entrepreneurial initiatives, and professional training, MACAH offers students multiple perspectives to explore and engage in the development of art and cultural landscapes in Hong Kong, Asia and beyond.

Hosted by the Department of Visual Studies (VS) and the Department of Philosophy with the support of the Centre for Film and Creative Industries (CFCI) of Lingnan University, the Master of Arts in Creative and Media Industries (MACMI) provides both basic and advanced courses on creative and media industries, i.e. connected fields in film, television, music, performing arts, architecture, visual arts, and interactive media, as well as archive, museum and amusement services, which collectively constitute the most dynamic sector of the cultural economy in Hong Kong. It combines established studies on cultural and creative industries. In response to the needs of Hong Kong society and economy, it aims to provide an interdisciplinary understanding for students to collectively explore the most dynamic sector of the cultural economy and foster development of the emergent field of creative and media industries studies, new to Hong Kong and the region. Aside from required and elective courses, students can complete a research dissertation as a capstone experience, they will engage in independent research and interrogate relevant scholarly perspectives on the object of their study.

The Master of Arts in China and Regional Studies (CRS) is a comparative area studies programme that aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to examine the multifaceted theoretical and empirical debates surrounding China's engagements with African countries, and its neighbouring countries in Asia and Pacific region.

The Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (SEIM) is designed for students who are working or aspiring to a career in non-governmental organisations or corporations with a strong social mission. Through this 1-year master programme, students will gain knowledge and skills to address the challenges of innovation and technological changes in today's fast-changing society. Students will not only learn to drive innovation but also how new ventures and enterprises are set up and managed in a sustainable way. Unlike traditional lecture-based master’s degrees, this programme combines both theoretical and practical teaching, allowing learners to gain invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge to become problem-solvers for a better society.

The Master of Arts in International Higher Education and Management is designed for those who want to seriously study international higher education, policy, and governance, as well as management and leadership issues in managing the contemporary university.

The programme offers educational opportunities to mature, talented, and focused artists who are well beyond the initial throes of exploration and discovery and seek specialised education to prepare for their professional career. The programme provides the time, the aesthetic and intellectual resources, the production facilities, and the synergistic creative environment to allow students to broaden, deepen, and synthesise their knowledge, skills, and training with a notable degree of excellence and self-confidence.

The 2019-20 MAIA programme will accept applications for admission from 1 October 2018.

The MSL is centred on developing personal and professional effectiveness, enabling practising and aspiring managers to enhance their knowledge and skills in management, leadership and strategy.
