Based on continuous assessment, the course is taught in lectures and seminars by the team from Westminster's top-rated Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI). The Global Contemporary Art MA is a practice-led course designed to nurture the professional, critical, and collaborative skills needed to pursue impactful, globally-aware, and socially responsible artistic and curatorial practices. Our MA Global Philosophy and Intensive Language degree provides a rich and advanced engagement with philosophy which exposes students to a wide variety of global, rather than narrowly Western, intellectual traditions and themes than would be possible in other philosophy postgraduate degree programmes.

The Global Criminology MA is designed to develop your knowledge and critical understanding of criminology as an interdisciplinary subject that incorporates legal, political and psychological, as well as social scientific approaches to the study of crime, deviance, and criminal and social justice. Led by academic experts in the area, this new course will focus on two themes – global criminology and critical criminology – giving you the unique opportunity to study the subject with both an international and critical focus. Global criminology is a relatively new and growing area of criminology that is at the forefront of developments in postcolonial, decolonial and southern theories. It is a specialist area of critical criminology, which explores issues of crime and justice within the context of power relations and structural inequalities such as class, gender, nationality, ethnicity, disability, age and sexuality.

As well as acquiring a range of practical camera and editing skills, you will have the opportunity to work intensively with a leading independent film production company in London and produce your own film. The pathway is taught in partnership with Roast Beef Productions, and under the direction of Mike Lerner, a multi-award winning documentary producer including Oscar nomination, Emmy and Bafta awards.

This exciting programme seeks to understand how policy is formulated within this evolving and dynamic context by drawing on the core concepts of policy analysis and theories of policy change.

This course provides you with a detailed understanding of the nature of the contemporary security agenda, its origins, theoretical foundations and future trajectory. You will examine the theories of international security and those key security issues that have dominated security discourse in the post-Cold War era. You will also develop your analytical skills in order to facilitate understanding of the seminal contemporary security issues in a broader theoretical and historical framework.
