The Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) is a two-year programme (120 ECTS) in English, which promotes interdisciplinary learning in a global context. Our MA programme equips students with critical analytical skills to address contemporary global issues. Focusing on some of the most relevant contemporary challenges such as climate change, energy transition, human rights, and military and technological competition, our program blends diverse disciplinary insights, including international relations, history, political theory, international law, and macroeconomics. Our students are also expected to acquire an excellent command of a second foreign language: French, German, Russian, or Spanish. The option of a third foreign language (Arabic or Chinese) is also available. Our graduates are trained to successfully pursue a career in diplomacy, international organizations, multinational corporations, and NGOs.

The programme prepares students for careers involving significant intercultural contact. Globalization and the growing importance of communication and collaboration guarantee a demand for experts looking into issues of language, globalization and intercultural communication.

For more than 40 years, the MA in International Development (MAID) has trained graduates to create opportunities for those in need of change, to search for solutions to the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges, and to address complex global issues. MAID is one of the best-established development programs in the United States and prepares students to meaningfully participate in driving socioeconomic, political, and environmental development throughout the world. MAID is unique in its balance of practice and theory, its emphasis on the links between the global and local, and its dedication to equipping graduates to become effective and ethical agents of change.

The goal of our International Studies MA is to train highly qualified experts in the social sciences who are able to think about the place and role of Hungary and the Central European region in an international and global context.

The MA in International Studies is a one year, full-time program which uses the disciplinary insights provided by international relations theories to investigate and explain contemporary international issues such as terrorism, nuclear proliferation, global inequality and child soldiers. Core modules are supplemented by a wide range of departmental electives, allowing students develop expertise in areas of their own interests.

The MA in Peace and Conflict Studies is an exciting international and interdisciplinary two-year Program focusing on violent conflict as well as its prevention and management. It is a unique Program that is jointly offered by the University of Kent and the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany and is taught in English.

Central European Studies is an interdisciplinary master's program at Eötvös Loránd University, involving five institutes at the Faculty of Humanities.

The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies is a 2-year, internationally accredited program offering a modern and interdisciplinary education in humanities. You will earn a globally recognized American and European B.A. degree.

The M.A. in Israel Studies Program integrates historical and contemporary perspectives and focuses on the emergence of Zionist ideology and the global Jewish people, the pre-state communities under Ottoman and British rule, and the State of Israel.

Developed in partnership with the Institute for Journalism and Social Change, the MA Global Journalism - and its suite of postgraduate pathways - address the emergent challenges and opportunities for journalism in a global and digital news paradigm.

Upon successful completion of the study program students receive an international private Master in Global Studies degree awarded by the school's main campus in Zurich, Switzerland, based on the recommendation of the faculty of the local campuses where credits were earned, and upon the recommendation of the school's Academic Council.

The MA Global Philosophy has a strongly applied element, designed to demonstrate the significance of philosophy for pressing contemporary concerns (such as the climate crisis, animal/human relations, gender debates, race relations, intercultural understanding, racial capitalism, public rationality, and democracy).
