The purpose of the program is to train economic specialists who (with their theoretical and methodological knowledge) are capable of exploring the social dimensions of environmental problems and analyzing social, cultural, and ecological processes from an economic perspective, taking into account the interactions between social and natural systems.

The Master of Arts in Economics is designed to prepare students for careers as professional economists in business, government agencies, colleges, and universities.

There is an urgent need for a radical rethink of our economic system. We need new thinking and new models that recognise the challenges we face now, rather than blindly following the path that has led us into the converging crises we now face.
