The Master of Arts in Governance consists of nine courses. Following successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, students must complete four additional courses: one 400-level course in Governance (must be DG403 if not taken before); PL400 or PL402; plus two elective 400-level courses in Governance or related fields.

The Mas­ters Pro­gram­ in Go­ver­nan­ce and Hu­man Rights con­nects the theo­ry of sci­ence with its practical application. In se­ven mo­du­les, the stu­dents will learn to ana­ly­ze and un­der­stand le­gal and po­li­ti­cal theo­ries of governance and in­ter­na­tio­nal and re­gio­nal human rights regimes and how they are in­ter­re­la­ted.

The pathway is designed to provide participants with the conceptual knowledge and practical skills that are needed to design and manage within organisations the ethical, social and governance aspects of business decision-making and operation. Participants will learn how to apply business ethics concepts and frameworks to the responsible management of organisations.

Dealing with current issues of governance and government requires a deeper understanding of contemporary policy and governance challenges in different parts of the world. This Master's program covers two major world regions, the European Union and East Asia. Students will learn to analyze how these regions adapt to often disruptive and transformative economic and political changes.
