The MA in Theology, Bible, and the Arts offers a range of modules that allow you to study both historical and contemporary theological ideas, the content, significance, and legacy of the Bible, and the diverse artistic responses to religious subjects and themes that have left their mark on the world. You will also be asked to explore one topic in greater detail through your dissertation.

The aim of the MA in Applied Theology is to enable you to work smarter, not harder. Study theology alongside others in a unique way that encourages both personal growth and professional development – all without the need to leave your responsibilities at home or work.

This taught Masters allows students to gain advanced theological knowledge of central Christian doctrines. The Diploma is available for those who complete the teaching modules without the dissertation.

The MA is completed part-time over a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. Students at Sarum College usually complete the degree within three years (two years for the taught part and a further year for the dissertation).

This pathway is suitable for professional workers in pastoral ministries, in, for example, schools, colleges, social work and health. Because of its emphasis on the Christian vision of the human person and the implications of this vision for family, civic and social life and engagement with culture, this pathway is of particular relevance to educators with specific responsibilities for Citizenship within the curriculum.
