6 Surgery M.D. Degree Programs

The Degree in Medicine (MD) program at ASOMI College of Sciences School of Medicine is meticulously designed to provide comprehensive medical education and training. This prestigious program is conducted in English and Italian, catering to a diverse student body and ensuring accessibility for a broader range of students. The curriculum is carefully crafted to cover all essential areas of medical science, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills to prepare future medical professionals thoroughly.

The DMed degree is conferred by virtue of a thesis and, if the Dean deems it necessary, an examination on the field of study of the thesis.

This is the four-year programme that, on completion, allows the incumbent to register with HPCSA as a specialist maxillofacial and oral surgeon. The programme offers specialised training in maxillofacial and oral surgery. In addition, UP registrars are exposed and trained in the sub-speciality fields like head and neck oncology and cleft deformities of the face.

The Medicine and Surgery program is offered by Università Cattolica in collaboration with Claudia Polo Universitario delle Professioni Sanitarie. Lectures are conducted at Claudiana, located in Bolzano, the capital of the South Tyrol region. The students of the new degree program will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and a qualified faculty, benefiting from the experience of doctors and researchers from the A. Gemelli University Hospital and the clinical training opportunities provided by local facilities.

The mission of the six year Degree – single cycle – Course is identified with the training of a doctor with an international professional profile, characterized by a multidisciplinary and integrated vision of health and disease problems, with an education oriented towards the community, the territory, the global health challenges and fundamentally towards disease prevention and health promotion and with a humanistic culture in its implications of medical interest.

The Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed Malaysia) five-year MB BS programme is identical to Newcastle's UK provision. It will provide a general medical education suitable for all types of doctor and serve as the foundation for later career specialisation.
