8 M.D. Degree Programs in Poland

School of Medicine is running full-time studies – at the six-year Medical Doctor Program in English (12 semesters). The university uses international education standards to prepare prospective doctors for medicine in the 21st century. The extended curriculum is based on strict European and U.S. standards and integrated educational experience. All lectures, seminars and practical training are conducted in English. Students have plenty of opportunities to join research teams in many academic departments, get experience in research. Studies of the Medical Program are preparing to work in the medical profession. Students enquire about the skills of interviewing the patient, examination, proper diagnosis, and treatment of the patient, and provide them with the necessary assistance. During the studies, students gain knowledge and practical skills in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation which are necessary to practice medicine, further training, and further research. Students learn the moral principles of conduct towards patients and their rights, rules of professional doctors co-operation and moral norms in medical research. Is aware of the legal and professional responsibility. After graduation student has theoretical knowledge and practical skills to practice medicine, also has the opportunity to specialize in different areas of medicine. After graduation students will receive a diploma of Medical Doctor (MD), which allows for applying for a license to practice medicine in the USA, Canada, Europe, and many other countries.

The Division offers a medical program for high school graduates and for college/university graduates. At the end of the program, the graduates are awarded the MD degree and receive a medical diploma recognized in the European Union, USA, Canada, and most other countries of the world (for precise information on diploma recognition in particular countries, consult the appropriate legal acts).

The curriculum of the Faculty Dentistry consists of five years of medical and dental courses. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is entitled to receive a DMD diploma (“LEKARZ-DENTYSTA” title).

Medical Doctor: A Profession of Public Trust. The profession of physician is highly prestigious and enjoys social trust, however there are fewer and fewer practitioners in the field. This shortage will soon be a serious problem. In July 2015, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University obtained the necessary entitlements to offer medical studies and commenced educating future doctors in October 2016. This is the very first non-public university in Poland to do so.

The Medical University of Warsaw offers a 5-year Dental Program to High School graduates. The program adapted to the EU standards provides more than 5000 hours of instruction and 300 ECTS.

The School of Medicine offers a 6-year MD (Doctor of Medicine) program adapted to the EU standards. It offers over 5700 hours of education in general medicine scope in the form of preclinical and clinical courses. Graduates are awarded the MD degree and are provided with a medical diploma recognized within the European Union, U.S.A., Canada, and many other countries worldwide.
