8 Medical Science M.D. Degree Programs

The Division offers a medical program for high school graduates and for college/university graduates. At the end of the program, the graduates are awarded the MD degree and receive a medical diploma recognized in the European Union, USA, Canada, and most other countries of the world (for precise information on diploma recognition in particular countries, consult the appropriate legal acts).

The aim of the “Medical Doctor“s” Programme: is to prepare Medical Doctors who are competitive in the local and international market, highly qualified, morally grounded, with appropriate competencies, who will be able to satisfy the educational requirements of an open society, which facilitates implementation of the CU”s general mission: to graduate competitive, highly qualified, morally grounded graduates who are faithful to democratic values and principles of democracy.

The medical program offered at St. Martinus University, Faculty of Medicine, is a rigorous program that integrates the Basic Sciences into medicine's clinical practice.

Medical Education Program's primary goal is to prepare confident medical doctors possessing the knowledge and skills according to international standards for undergraduate medical education. Our program bases on the global standards of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME).

The Clinical Medical Sciences curriculum: Presents the opportunity to record history, perform a physical examination and interpret the findings. Teaches the students to act independently correlating the clinical relevance to the basic sciences. Gives access to areas of medical practice students may be interested in while pursuing their career. On successful completion of the whole curriculum and satisfactorily meeting all the other requirements, students will be conferred with an MD degree.

Tokyo Women’s Medical University School of Medicine underwent a multifaceted medical education assessment by the Japan Accreditation Council for Medical Education (JACME) in November 2019 and was accredited as meeting the global standards in June 2020. Various educational approaches implemented by the entire School of Medicine were highly rated, demonstrating that students receive the highest levels of education in Japan. We are all committed to continuously innovating educational programs and further improving the quality of education. In order to nurture medical professionals who can promote research in medical sciences and make further beneficial contributions to medical sciences and society, we have established the Graduate School of Medical Science (usually a 4-year doctoral course and a 3-year course for exceptional cases). The Ph.D. degree is given to students who have earned sufficient credits and passed the thesis review and final examination. We also offer a basic research doctor training program for undergraduates (3 to 6-year students). This program includes both junior residential training and first and second-year graduate courses. By successfully completing this program, the student earns credits in graduate school, earning a Ph.D. in 4 years after their graduation.
