The curriculum in Doctor of Dentistry in English of the five-year program (10 semesters) is designed to unify the basic and clinical sciences, as it is believed that scientific and professional development cannot be sharply separated but should proceed concurrently throughout the program. In the basic module of the first two years, the students are taught basic sciences – medical and dental courses – which constitute the foundation of clinical dentistry.

The Doctor of Dental Medicine program aims to give students deep systemic knowledge and develop practical skills by the international principles of dental education, to acquire clinical and research skills in the field of dentistry, and to prepare relevant education for ongoing learning and development to become professional.

Dentistry is an independent medical branch, which includes diagnostics, prevention, and treatment of the oral cavity and teeth diseased states. The extent of general medical knowledge is in the content required for health prevention with a special orientation for health and diseases of the oral cavity in connection with the whole organism.

The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) degree provides graduate training in orthodontics discipline in dentistry. The aim of the discipline Program is to prepare graduate students to become registered specialists in that discipline. The programs foster development of critical analysis, research skills, and advanced clinical skills that will be recognised for specialist registration.

The Medical University of Warsaw offers a 5-year Dental Program to High School graduates. The program adapted to the EU standards provides more than 5000 hours of instruction and 300 ECTS.
