The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the Medical University of Warsaw is recognized as Poland’s leading institution in the field of dentistry. Since 2020, students have been educated and trained using world-class equipment at the ultra-modern University Dental Center, located on WUM’s main campus.

The curriculum of the Faculty Dentistry consists of five years of medical and dental courses. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is entitled to receive a DMD diploma (“LEKARZ-DENTYSTA” title).

The graduating dentist reveals broad academic dental education and has to be able to realize proper clinical dental practice. He/she is sufficiently trained in clinical practice and has relevant manual skills. He/she is able to work together with other dental and health care professionals in the health care system. He/she has to be able to communicate adequately. He/she is prepared for adequate continual self-education and professional development. He/she is able to practice evidence-based dentistry using extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

The Degree Program in Dental Medicine at ACS College, in collaboration with the Medical University of Plovdiv, is designed to provide a complete and high-level education in the field of dentistry. This prestigious program is offered in English, making it accessible to an international student community. The curriculum is carefully structured to cover all fundamental and advanced areas of dental medicine, combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills to thoroughly prepare future oral health professionals.

The curriculum in Doctor of Dentistry in English of the five-year program (10 semesters) is designed to unify the basic and clinical sciences, as it is believed that scientific and professional development cannot be sharply separated but should proceed concurrently throughout the program. In the basic module of the first two years, the students are taught basic sciences – medical and dental courses – which constitute the foundation of clinical dentistry.

Dentistry is an independent medical field focused on diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases of the teeth, oral cavity, and jaw. During this 5-year program, you will learn to manage the most common oral diseases, such as tooth decay and gum disease, while understanding how oral health is connected to the entire body. The course combines medical knowledge with hands-on clinical training, preparing you to work confidently with real patients after graduation.

The Dentistry (English) Program has a learning process, along with theoretical teaching, that is focused on developing practical skills. The student performs practically all the manipulations on the phantom that are provided by the program. This method of teaching is safe.

Dental medicine is a second undergraduate study program offered for international students. It lasts 5 years (from academic year 2025/2026) and graduates are awarded degrees: Doctor of Dental Medicine. The education of students in dental medicine is organized in three stages with duration of five years and six months as pre-graduate internship. During the first two years students receive medicobiological training. The clinical and medical training is realized from the second to the tenth semester and includes education in general medical and specialized dental medicine disciplines. The teaching is carried out by 8 departments. The pre-diploma internship includes Pediatric Dental Medicine, Conservative Dental Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery,, Prosthetic Dental Medicine, Periodontology and Orthodontics, and ends with state examinations. Students who pass them successfully are awarded the qualification of a Doctor in Dental Medicine and a Master’s degree.
