The Masters in Law (MLaw) is an accelerated two-year, full-time (or four-year part-time) postgraduate degree in law. It is designed for graduates in a discipline other than Law who wish to obtain a Law degree for professional practice for England & Wales and Northern Ireland or in aid of other career goals.

Food law is a dynamic area of law, heavily influenced by developments at an EU level. Over the years this course has recruited students from all over the globe and from   many different backgrounds. A typical student may be an Environmental Health Officer, or work in the food industry, or a practising lawyer or a consultant. As such the Food Law programme is specifically designed for lawyers and non-legal professionals with interests in the food law field, particularly those involved in the food industry.

This qualification is designed to consider the role and place of law in an increasingly globalised world and is suitable for law and non-law graduates as well as lawyers wanting to develop their interests. Our LLM takes a critical legal approach to study, using different perspectives and case studies to illustrate, explore, compare and contextualise topical legal issues. You will explore the interaction of law, law-making bodies, institutions and regulators in an international context, the role and function of law in an increasingly global society, and the role of states, international institutions and multi-national companies. You will also consider contemporary legal issues such as corporate social responsibility, trans-national crime, humanitarian aid and security.

Since 2016 ROLACC, in association with the University of Sussex, has been providing an LLM in Corruption, Law, and Governance taught in Doha, Qatar. The course is run over two years (part-time) and is taught by highly qualified academics from the University of Sussex. The program was launched by H.E. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar, along with H.E Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri, the Attorney General of Qatar on the 2nd of October 2016. The course is taught in ten week-long teaching blocks over two years and is based on the one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) MA course taught in the UK by the same teaching team.
