The FURB Master's Program in Law is aimed at holders of a diploma of higher education in Law or in other courses in the area of โโApplied Social Sciences and aims to train professionals in the legal area to act as teachers and researchers in undergraduate courses. and post-graduate studies, as advisors, consultants, civil servants of Justice and the State, public managers, entrepreneurs, and trainers of qualified opinions, with a view to consolidating the Democratic Rule of Law and improving legal practices that promote fundamental rights in contemporary international society and, thus, of constitutional policies. Therefore, it is intended to promote the following characteristics: a) General training to act as teachers and researchers in higher education or in research and innovation centers; b) Qualification for conducting research in the different fields of Legal Sciences and in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary environments; c) Sensitivity to act in areas of law considered a priority in the country and in its regional contexts; d) Ability to create and interpret empirical data on the regional and national context that allow the formulation and analysis of public policies; e) Ability to recognize demands from pressure groups, minorities, socio-environmental issues, and sovereignty, as well as from the market economy and its numerous forms of relationship with the law.

The Postgraduate Law Program (PPGD) began its trajectory in 2013, with the approval of the Master's Degree in Law - concentration area โlaw and societyโ - which, reaching grade 4, can plead with CAPES the offer of the Doctorate. How to Study Law?
