Canterbury is a historic cathedral city, and the name means "Kent people's stronghold". Itโ€™s home to four universities and several other higher education institutions that cover 25% of the adult population of Canterbury.

Law is a broad field that encompasses the system of rules set by a society to regulate behavior along with the enforcement of those rules. Law students study all of a societyโ€™s rules, but usually specialize their law practice upon graduation into a particular area like civil or criminal law.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the United Kingdom and Britain, is a sovereign state located off the northwestern coast of continental Europe. The two most famous (and oldest) universities are Oxford and Cambridge (often referred to as Oxbridge by many Britons). England also has several other world-class institutions, including several in London (notably Imperial College, the London School of Economics, University College London and King's College London, all are part of London University).

After an individualโ€™s undergraduate education has been completed, he or she will need to pursue an LLB in order to actually practice in the field of law. This program typically takes three to four years to complete.
