Biochemistry is a branch of life sciences that focuses on studies to understand the mechanisms by which living organisms perform many functions in molecular detail. Bioengineering is the application of life sciences and engineering principles to define and solve problems in biology, medicine, healthcare, and other fields which are directly related to organisms. The MSc in Occupational Health is a full-time program which provides a multidisciplinary approach to occupational health management in the workplace, including occupational medicine and hygiene, ergonomics, epidemiology, psychology, public health, risk assessment and management, law and training and development.

The Department of Forest Engineering trains forest engineers with high scientific ethical values ​​and social responsibility, who ensure the sustainable management of forest resources, think and interpret events in a multidimensional way, by maintaining a contemporary education and training with national and international qualifications.

The main purpose of the program is to educate science teachers with a good self-image, an outgoing personality, a sense of humour and an interest in helping their students tu understand science in a meaningful way. The program also aims to develop teachers with a sound understanding of how children learn science; confident in using technology; capable in problem-solving; attentive to human rights, democracy, and ethics. The program emphasises critical thinking, personal reflection, and professional development of preservice science teachers.

The Horticulture department carries out a 4-year program to educate students to become agricultural engineer on the open field, protected cultivation, breeding and post-harvest handling of horticultural crops. The program is composed of two years of basic compulsory courses on science and agriculture.

The interdisciplinary Biosecurity program is a model of research and training, which focuses on critical issues in health, science, and security intersections. Courses include the scientific foundations of biosecurity, the technologies used in this field and possibilities for future use, practices to prevent and illuminate bioterrorist attacks, national and international regulations, as well as providing information and skills to assess the risks posed by bio attacks on public health and safety, creating strategies that will prepare large masses against biological attacks and deal with stress and fear.
