The Faculty of Food Science of the UWM in Olsztyn, in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg, offers an opportunity to take up full-time, 3-semester, second degree master studies in the Food technology and human nutrition, in the field of food engineering.

The Master in Food Systems programme is developing top talent for the food sector, by training the leaders of the future. Organised by leading academic institutions and industrial partners from across our Partner network, this programme aims to prepare you to drive a future transformation of the food system and increase the competitiveness of the companies you chose to work for.

The new program offered by the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences is a double diploma degree in food technology taught in English in cooperation with a partner from Spain, University Miguel Hernandez of Elche. Students will spend part of the course in Spain and part in Poland, they will have the opportunity to write their master’s theses under the supervision of lecturers from both universities, and in the end they will receive two diplomas.

This MSc in Biotechnology focuses on problems related to the use of biotechnology in engineering and environmental protection, as well as in the bioeconomy, including the recovery of bioproducts and energy from waste materials. By choosing our studies, you have a unique chance to obtain two Polish and German diplomas. We offer you studies under the supervision of academic teachers with many years of experience in conducting classes at international studies at the most beautiful university campus in Poland, located in the land of lakes and forests.

In this interdisciplinary course, students will gain knowledge and skills in the area of advanced material science with a special focus on materials for medical applications.

Our Bachelor's program in Biotechnology offers a unique opportunity for science enthusiasts to delve into biology and technology. The BA in Dietetics turns passion for health into a practical profession. You’ll learn human nutrition, food technology, health psychology and lab diagnostics. You’ll practise designing balanced meal plans for adults, children and people with special dietary needs, and cooperate with healthcare.

The Graduate Program in Environment Protection Engineering aims at research and engineering activities concerning the mitigating of negative impacts of human activity on the environment. It is primarily addressed to the alumni of the undergraduate program in environmental engineering or other undergraduate programs in engineering, such as civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering.

Biodiversity is at the heart of environmental science, addressing some of the most pressing global challenges, from climate change to species conservation. The Integrative Biodiversity programme provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding and protecting the natural world. Students will develop expertise in biodiversity research, evolutionary processes, and conservation strategies while gaining practical experience in laboratory and fieldwork. With a strong emphasis on scientific communication and teamwork, this programme equips graduates with the skills needed to make a real impact in biodiversity conservation and environmental management.

Educating and training veterinary professionals is the main goal of the DVM programme. During the11-semester period of studies(5,5 years), students develop a strong core of veterinary science knowledge, are able to follow their own area of interest, and gain a wealth of professional experience through various internships in veterinary clinics, farms, and food industry entities.

Molecular Biotechnology is a graduate (second-cycle) program of studies that leads to a Magister degree (Polish equivalent of a Master's degree). The study program is made up of compulsory courses and elective courses. Compulsory courses allow broadening your theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the following areas: molecular biotechnology, genetic engineering, biochemistry, cell biology, medical biotechnology, plant biotechnology, bioinformatics, the application of biotechnology in environmental protection, and protection of industrial property and copyright.

The program contains a wide range of specialist subjects (modeling of bioprocesses, regulation of biotechnological processes, separation processes in biotechnology, laboratory of technological and biotechnological processes, biotechnology of natural resources, etc.), which, together with bioanalytical and elective subjects (bioanalytics, sensors, and biosensors, microbioanalytics) constitute a comprehensive offer for all graduates interested in the field of biotechnology.

Our students have access to 12 warmblood horses, including native Małopolski Horses and Felin Ponies – the only Polish breed of ponies bred by the University of Life Sciences employees in Lublin. Practical classes are held in the fully-equipped University Horse Centre and during trips to competitions, equestrian events, races and visits to leading horse centres.

The Industrial Biotechnology program is carried out by the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. Industrial Biotechnology is a degree program taught entirely in English. It integrates biological and technical sciences to exploit enzymes, organisms, and cells to produce products. Industrial Biotechnology is for individuals who are interested in making use of biological systems, living organisms, and enzymes to create or modify specific products or processes.
