The Master in Plant Production (PPGPV) is a Stricto Sensu Graduate Program whose main objective is the training of ethical masters and capable of developing advanced studies in Plant Production. The master's program was evaluated and approved in 2011 by the CAPES Agricultural Sciences Committee with a concept of 4. The university campus of Ipameri, in addition to the two undergraduate courses (Agronomy and Forestry Engineering), started to count on the program in March 2012 post-graduate (master's degree strictly ) in Vegetable Production. The animal scientist graduated from UFSC is prepared for a career in planning and technical management of animal production systems – with emphasis on processes aimed at obtaining quality products, with economic value added and market value, while respecting animal welfare and the environment. Graduates should be agents of development, entrepreneurs, generators and diffusers of technologies concerning the raising, improvement, management, nutrition, behavior, welfare and health prophylaxis of different species of livestock.

Environmental sustainability is present in all segments linked to the maintenance of the quality of human life. The themes related to civil construction, environmental law, environmental conditions that affect human health, the social communication of environmental issues, to public and private administration that deal with natural resources, are demanded by professionals from the most varied areas. The aspects related to environmental transformation and conservation, although central, went beyond its scope and are the basis for understanding environmental sustainability. For this reason, the general objective of the program is the training of masters in the Environment capable of producing and applying interdisciplinary environmental knowledge, proposing methodologies for the solution of environmental problems, and producing information that supports environmental planning. The program belongs to the Environmental Sciences Concentration Area and has two lines of research: 1. Environmental Planning and Quality; and 2. Health and Environment.

The Multicentric Graduate Program in the area of ​​Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, stricto sensu, at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Governador Valadares campus (PMBqBM / UFJF-GV), started its activities on March 1, 2016. The program offers academic masters and doctoral courses for graduates of courses in the health fields. It is the result of the association of researchers from the campus to the PMBqBM who try to establish a productive network with researchers in the area of ​​Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from other regions. The PMBqBM / UFJF-GV also works to strengthen the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the Vale do Rio Doce region. The selection of regular students takes place through an announcement issued in the month of October of each year.

The general objective of the PPGA consists of the training and improvement of professionals, at the Master's and/or Doctorate level, able to widely master scientific and technological content in the area, understanding the social, economic, political, and environmental issues of professional practice. The PPGA also aims to train qualified masters and doctors with skills and abilities adhering to scientific, technological, and conceptual views of modern agriculture. Within this focus, the objective of applied research in Agrarian Sciences is highlighted, as well as the encouragement of technological innovation and the main factors that influence the sector, such as the increase in population, the reduction of natural resources, and climate change, among others. others.

The Graduate Program in Animal Science (PPGZOO) at UFVJM was recommended by CAPES, at the Master's level, according to letter 63-12 / 2007 / CTC / CAA / CAPES, on July 26, 2007, and had its first class of academics enrolled in March 2008. The course has a maximum duration of two years and the guidelines are currently exercised by fifteen permanent teachers (Supervisors), eleven UFVJM civil servants, and four external (UFV, UFSJ, and UFMT), and four collaborating teachers. . PPGZOO seeks to provide its master's students with the capacity to exercise higher teaching and various researches regarding Zootechnics, in addition to training these academics to prepare and develop projects. The student body is formed by students who graduated from national or foreign institutions, observing the curricular requirements and selected through evaluations. And it maintains healthy partnerships, standing out, among others, CNPq, CAPES, FINEP, FAPEMIG, and also with other educational institutions. Student entries (tickets) are semiannual and for the title of Master in Zootechnics by UFVJM the academic must complete 24 credits in subjects (mandatory and elective), as well as pass the Dissertation exam.

The Academic Master's Degree in Food Science and Technology at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) started in March 2016, after CAPES recommended it in 2015. In this course, there is the possibility of complementing the training of professionals in areas related to Science and Food Technology, with the objective of exercising teaching activities at a higher level, strengthening scientific and technological research, consultancy, and specialized work in companies and in the public sector. Currently, there are 13 professors from the University of the State of Santa Catarina in the program, who work in two lines of research : 1 - Development and optimization of technologies, products, and processes; 2 - Food properties and safety.
