10 Law Degree Programs in Romania

The Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara offers, among its postgraduate study options, a one-year, 60-ECTS Master’s programme in European Union Law, delivered entirely in English. Combining both foundational and specialized courses, the programme enables students to develop an in-depth understanding of the key areas of EU law, while fostering a critical perspective on the functioning of the EU’s institutional framework and its interaction with national legal systems and other international regimes.

Bachelor’s Program in European and International law (DEI) addresses potential candidates interested both in traditional legal professions (magistrate, lawyer, notary, legal advisor, etc.), as well as in accessing professional opportunities offered by the international market (within the institutions of the European Union or other international organizations, in academic field etc.).

This study program has the mission to unify the juridical training gained through the undergraduate studies with the complementary training in the law field, offering master students a unique opportunity to study European law within an interdisciplinary context of law, politics and philosophy through deepening the principles, policies and rules that form the basis of a juridical system that is still under development.

The mission of the “Danubius” University from Galați to offer education and research of high-quality standard in a national and European context is realized also through the study program Law and European Public Administration.

The Law degree program is formative-scientific. In terms of training, the program focuses on the initial and ongoing training of those who wish to pursue a career in the legal field, ensuring future graduates have competitive professional qualifications in the labor market. Under the cultural-scientific aspect, the program aims to develop the cultural-scientific level of the future graduates, by focusing on the activity of scientific research and capitalizing on its results.

The courses of the University Law Program "Law" are organized for full-time education, the duration of studies being 4 years (8 semesters). The curriculum is structured on three categories of disciplines: fundamental disciplines, specialized disciplines, in the field and complementary disciplines, according to the weights allocated and provided in the standards of the study program.

The master's university studies ensure the deepening of the general and specialized knowledge of the bachelor's field or in a close field, the acquisition of specific cognitive abilities and the development of the scientific research capacity.

The mission of this program is didactic (providing education) and of scientific research, implying, on the one hand, forwarding specialized knowledge in the field of criminal science, and on the other, training the students in the research activity.
