The Master's Program in Gender Studies trains professionals capable of analyzing, understanding, and generating proposals with a gender perspective in the contemporary context, from an ethical and interdisciplinary standpoint, taking into account the plurality of actors, cultures, and power relations with other forms of social differentiation among individuals, groups, and territories. Furthermore, it empowers leaders in the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, programs, and public research and intervention projects that incorporate a gender perspective.

The Master's Program in Environmental Law and Sustainability (MADAS) seeks to contribute to the offer that exists in Colombia regarding the practical and academic approach that legal sciences can make to a concept as holistic as the environment. Thus, being the first Master's degree training program in Environmental Law, it offers legal tools that allow professionals from various disciplines and sectors to approach the environment in a specialized way.

Law is the normative and institutional order of human behavior in society inspired by postulates of justice and legal certainty, the basis of which is the existing social relations that determine its content and character in a given place and time. Our general purpose is to train competent professionals in legal science, capable of understanding and transforming the social reality in which they are immersed with social, political, and economic leadership, for the resolution of conflicts and the promotion of the human person.

The specialization proposes the study of the administrative legal system of disciplinary Colombia in force, of the most important administrative legal institutions of theoretical-practical knowledge on current issues through the analysis of recent jurisprudence and contemporary doctrine on the fundamental issues of this area of law.

The Faculty of Law and the Postgraduate Institute of the Free University, consistent with its historical project, form integral jurists committed to the defense of justice and law based on the foundational, ethical, freedom, equity, and tolerance principles, based on scientific, universal and interdisciplinary rigor, applied to the transformation of the social and national reality.

Planning constitutes a process, a social and political practice, that transcends the merely technical, since it demands the participation of the different actors in scenarios of discussion and agreement on matters of collective interest, referring to proposals for social development, which take shape in the Design of Plans, Programs, and Projects, as operational levels of planning. This implies a commitment to the construction of an inclusive, democratic society that guarantees the rights and opportunities of citizens.

The "Specialization in environmental law and development" is conceived as an interdisciplinary postgraduate program aimed at professionals from all areas who seek to expand and enrich their academic knowledge and professionally qualify in the field of Environmental Law from an approach that conceives it as a tool of environmental management for sustainable development, a scenario of concretion from the public and private sphere of fundamental rights as a whole within the framework of development operations.

BA Political Science has as a mission the humanistic and critical training of political scientists founded in disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge through academic processes, research, and social projection. This will allow the understanding and transformation of the social and political problems of the country and the south Colombian region, looking to contribute to the construction of a more democratic society, inclusive and just that strives towards the achievement of peace and development.

The master's degree in Social Justice and Peacebuilding aims at theoretical reflection and generation of knowledge about social justice and peacebuilding processes as localized and useful social action for society, with proposals for organization, mobilization, and social transformation, with an impact on social inclusion, democratic relations and equity.

The master's degree in Family Law is a graduate program that aims to instruct the student in certain substantial and procedural knowledge of family law. It has an emphasis on deepening and research of the student's choice. 1. Distinctive rank: it is the first master's degree offered in the country with an emphasis on research and the second with an emphasis on deepening, in this specific area of ​​law. 2. The training of the Social Worker of the San Alfonso University Foundation will allow them to understand and critically interpret the challenges of globalization and propose creative alternative solutions to the problems that affect the planning and social management of human and social development projects. Directs, manages, and evaluates the impact of projects, programs, plans, and public and social policies. The social worker in the peacebuilding scenario contributes to the development of human potentialities, the strengthening of the social fabric to face the needs derived from the armed conflict, establishing scenarios where knowledge and pedagogical practices converge, from which it can be projected a social transformation.
