Our program — English Studies with an Additional Language — allows you to perfect your English and learn another language, such as Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, or Spanish, over the course of your studies.

Korean Studies is a double degree program taught entirely in English. This program is prepared in close cooperation with the South Korean partner Keimyung University in Daegu. The program's central objective is to enrich the offer of studies related to Asia. In addition, this program responds to the growing interest in recent years for programs on the Korean Peninsula, its specificity, and its importance in international relations.

The first-cycle program - East European Studies: Languages and Discourses—is meticulously crafted to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Eastern Europe, a region pivotal to global political and economic stability. Renowned for its political, cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity, Eastern Europe has witnessed a multitude of historical and contemporary conflicts, including the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The undergraduate program in English Studies focuses on practical skills and combines several modules, such as linguistics, intensive language learning, as well as cultural and historical background of the English speaking countries. Thanks to this approach, students gain multifaceted skills, including language competencies, academic reading and writing, multicultural awareness, and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL).

The graduate level English Studies focuses on the advanced development of English language competency. Students broaden their knowledge in areas such as linguistics, methodology of teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), international business communication as well and the cultural and historical background of the English-speaking countries.

The Preparatory Polish Language Course provides intensive training in all four language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing, ensuring students achieve a minimum B2 level of proficiency according to the CEFR scale, enabling them to start studies at VIZJA University.

The BA in English Philology is a three-year programme for those who want to turn language passion into a global career. You’ll master English at an advanced level and gain skills in communication, translation, intercultural competence and digital tools for language professionals.

You will level up your English language skills to C1 (CEFR) or beyond. You will get an insight into the mechanisms that govern modern businesses and market economies. The IELTS certificate is necessary when we plan to go to English-speaking countries to start studies, work or do an internship there. In Poland, however, IELTS may be necessary if you are applying for a job in a company that requires knowledge of English.

This is a unique degree on a national scale. It involves interdisciplinary studies, run by the Intercollegiate Faculty of Linguistics and Business, carried out by the Sopot University of Applied Science and the Ateneum University, building the basis for broad professional development, preparing the graduates for working in a multicultural environment, inter alia at international companies. The study program, prepared in cooperation with business practices, is modeled on the programs and the educational trends offered by universities worldwide. It is a combination of business and economic studies with intensive learning of two languages.

Studying Academic English at our University will help you become a proficient English language user (C1 level) with the skills necessary to conduct research, and enable you to take full advantage of academic life. In this programme, students participate in courses focused on academic writing, academic text-based speaking, listening, grammar, and academic vocabulary.
