The LLM in U.S. Law program is designed for attorneys and law school graduates educated outside of the United States. Candidates for the LLM in  U.S. Law are enrolled in two required courses, Intro to U.S. Law and Legal Writing and Research. Other courses are electives and may be taken in any area of law. Students have the option of pursuing a Concentration in one of six popular areas of law.

The M.C.L. is a two-semester program that offers international students without a first degree in law but with legal experience or a strong interest to gain familiarity with American law and legal institutions.

The LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice has a strong applied focus, that prepares you to practice law once you have graduated, and to qualify as a Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive. You can gain hands-on clinical legal experience by volunteering in our Law Clinic.

Through this program, participants will learn from Moritz College of Law’s faculty experts as well as judges and practitioners working at federal courts and global law firms in Columbus.

The accelerated LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice degree can be completed in just two years (rather than the standard 3 years). The curriculum of the Master of Laws in Comparative Constitutional Law covers issues concerning the development and operation of constitutional government in its broader political, social, historical, regional, and international context. The core curriculum centers on fundamental issues in comparative constitutional law regarding constitution-making and constitutional design, constitutional government (horizontal and vertical separation of powers), and constitutional rights protection in leading, emerging, and declining constitutional democracies around the world.

The 100% online Master's Degree in Criminal Procedure Law will allow you to delve into procedural practice, preparing you to resolve jurisdictional conflicts within the framework of the prosecution of crimes through regulatory principles.

On our 1-Year Top-Up programme, you enter the final year of the practice-based LLB (Hons) Law and Legal Practice, and study 4 x 30-credit Level 6 modules.

The International & Comparative Law concentration offers a directed, optional program of study for LL.M. students. Students have the opportunity to receive specialized training in the field and select the classes that are most relevant to their areas of expertise. A concentration designation will appear on the transcript, giving students a competitive advantage in the legal employment market. Students retain the ability to elect a few courses outside of their concentration in other areas of interest or to prepare for the bar exam.

The Master of Laws is a postgraduate degree in law from the United States with subjects focused on the practice of oral litigation techniques aimed at lawyers from Latin America involved in the implementation of Oral Trials in criminal and civil matters. The courses are taught entirely in Spanish and online, starting in summer 2023.

If you want to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales you will need to complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC) – the vocational stage of training that bridges the gap between academic studies and life in a law firm.
