The Juris Doctor (JD) and Master in Social Work (MSW) Dual-Degree Program was initiated in 1996 in partnership with the School of Social Work at San Diego State University. It offers students the opportunity to earn the two degrees in four, rather than the usual five years. The program provides opportunities to focus on areas where law and social work regularly intersect such as child welfare, mental health, aging, and domestic violence.

The Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science takes four years and four months. It consists of a total of seventy-two (72) subjects, which accumulate two hundred and fourteen credits (214). The curricular structure of the Bachelor's Degree in Law and Political Science is designed to train the modern lawyer who can face the challenges of the future. This professional has a solid base of knowledge and legal practice, not exclusively in Panamanian law, but in international law, in its public and private aspects.

Students enrolled in the ADR Concentration will receive instruction and training intended to expand their understanding of the role of the lawyer outside of the traditional adversarial litigation setting and expose them to lawyering skills essential to current legal practice.
