Touro Law offers full-time, part-time day and evening programs for students seeking to earn a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, which is awarded upon successful completion of 88 credits.

The Business Law area of concentration provides students with the background necessary to succeed as business lawyers in the global financial world. UC Davis law graduates with a Business Law concentration work in law firms, corporations, consulting and accounting companies, and nonprofit organizations throughout the world.

UA&P’s Law program provides training in standard competencies expected of lawyers, such as legal reasoning and advocacy.

Students begin their Boyd education with essential core classes in civil procedure, criminal law, constitutional law, legal writing, contracts, property and torts. These courses provide a strong groundwork in the theory and practice of law.

Students enrolled in the Business Law Honors Concentration will receive instruction and training in those subject areas fundamental to the practice of transactional attorneys and/or corporate litigators, in addition to instruction in specialized, related subject areas of their choosing.

In an increasingly globalized world, the study of international law subjects is increasingly vital to legal education and practice. The faculty has already recognized this reality by requiring Transnational Law in the first year.

Students enrolled in the Intellectual Property Law Honors Concentration will receive instruction and training in those subject areas fundamental to the practice of intellectual property attorneys, in addition to instruction in specialized, related subject areas of their choosing.

Students enrolled in the Corporate Compliance Concentration will receive instruction and training to prepare them for practices that focus on or involve compliance work. Although the Concentration focuses on financial industry compliance, it encompasses other areas of compliance that are commonly encountered by corporate lawyers/lawyers representing corporate clients.

Villanova’s Charles Widger School of Law and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences jointly offer the JD/MPA Program, which enables students who are enrolled in the JD program to simultaneously earn an MPA degree, all within three years. This dual degree program is designed for students who are interested in careers in public service and an interdisciplinary education that examines the relationship between law, public administration and management. In addition to the JD degree requirements, JD/MPA students are exposed to the theoretical aspects of public administration and organizations, as well as financial and human capital management, data analysis and leadership.

Hofstra Law’s JD Program provides an education rich in both the theory and skills needed to produce outstanding lawyers.

The JD with Advanced Standing Program allows students to receive up to 30 hours of credit towards their JD for prior legal studies in another country.
