The aim of the program Multimedia and Internet Technologies is to educate highly qualified IT specialists who can apply mathematics, engineering sciences, and the latest IT and design knowledge and practical skills while developing multimedia and internet media products. Acquired general engineering, specialized technical and art knowledge, and practical skills in areas such as digital video and audio synthesis, spatial object modeling, visualization and animation, and multimedia systems design, will enable graduates to integrate into an increasingly demanding, and continuously growing market for new technologies, creating new niches and new products in it, will give confidence to independently initiate and develop new cyberspace projects and products.

The objective of this study program is to prepare video creators who will independently and in groups create media products using up-to-date video production principles and new media technologies, and who will work in an innovative and responsible way in the local and international markets of audiovisual industries.

The Doctoral Program in Communication and Information Studies organized at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in Kaunas (Lithuania) aims to address the pressing issues in the contemporary and dynamically evolving field of media and communications, which is shaped by politico-economic, socio-cultural, and technologic factors, and explores media infused societal transformations and communicative impact on individual, groups, and social dimensions.

The future media and Journalism programme is for students who feel that the traditional confines of journalism are too narrow for them and who want to future-proof their careers by delving deeply into the emerging trends and technologies in digital media. The aim of the first cycle study programme "Innovative Communication and Entrepreneurship" is to prepare highly qualified communication specialists who understand and are able to apply communication, digital media and marketing solutions, and are able to create and communicate content in multiple media.

The goal of the program specialization Society, Culture and Communication is to train highly-qualified graduates in sociology and communication who would be able to identify and analyze social problems and cultural processes, to expertly conduct sociological and communication research, to explain, compare and evaluate social processes and to apply creatively their research skills in the fields of communication and information science.

Marketing and Integrated Communication program aims to develop Marketing and Communications managers who can base their managerial activities on consumer data analysis. Therefore You will learn how to conduct marketing research and perform statistical analysis of consumer-linked data and how to interpret findings. You will study strategic marketing and strategic brand management. During your studies of integrated communication, digital marketing communication and corporate communication management, you will learn how to communicate with different stakeholders. The Master's degree programme in Communication in the Creative Society is aimed at training professionals capable of applying communication strategies, monitoring, researching, analysing and developing creative activity for the purpose of fostering creative society.

The aim of the study program Foreign Languages and Cultures is to train well-qualified bachelors in the Humanities with a broad range of knowledge and competencies, who have a knowledge of Italian, French, or German (C1 level) and an additional foreign language (B2 level). Graduates will grasp the fundamentals of linguistics, literary studies, translation, intercultural communication, and production of spoken and written texts, and become familiar with the culture of a chosen country, its history, and political and economic situation. Students will be able to translate from the source into the target language and vice versa, interpret and analyze different countries’ cultural phenomena in the European and global context. Graduates will be able to apply their linguistic, communicative, cultural, social, and other competencies in professional and academic areas.

The aim of the study program is to train specialists who are able to communicate correctly in the professional English language; appropriately use the professional terms of management spheres and public communication; organize and manage internal and external communication of an enterprise in Lithuanian and English; develop and assess information products; broaden and sustain intercultural communication and cooperation; shape the image of an organization in the Lithuanian and foreign languages; apply various strategies of integrated communication; flexibly respond to market changes; and adapt to evolving conditions of the environment.

Multimedia is the composition of hardware and software tools, distribution of information with the help of various types of information tools – text, audio, two-dimensional and three-dimensional images, animation and video footage – all are the means employed in interactive communication between the computer and user. Visual and audio synthesis helps to absorb the information better and is used for development of multimedia technologies. The aim of the Multimedia Technology study programme is to prepare qualified specialists who are able to assess multimedia products and digital communication demand in the market, as well as opportunities for business, design and justify new product concepts, design, and develop products and systems that would meet competitive market needs.
