Engage in a broadly interdisciplinary study of the relationships between literature, visual culture, and film in contemporary and historical contexts. Students gain cutting-edge theoretical insights into intermedial aesthetics and into the philosophy of literature, art, and film. And are provided with critical tools for the cultural analysis of contemporary audiovisual, image, and text-based media.

We offer an international education with a study program dedicated to film and audiovisual storytelling for different distribution platforms starting from the Internet and ending with cinemas. We believe in a team-based filmmaking model with doing it yourself approach leaning into creative & indie narrative-driven stories and creating live and pre-recorded TV to high broadcast standards. You can master the technical field by studying editing, cinematography, lighting, color grading, sound recording, and sound design or venture onto the creative track gaining skills in producing, screenwriting, assistant directing, and directing.

Crossmedia combines the areas of media production, storytelling, and marketing, offering both theoretical groundwork and exciting practical assignments. Studying cross-media means learning how to tell a story that unfolds in many directions. Imagine a story that is introduced on social media, then expanded on to television or VOD, and then further explored as a live performance and an exhibition. Today's employers are looking for people being able to create content, but also know the audience and are able to approach the projects analytically.

The Documentary Film programme is focused on the auteur concept of the creative documentary. During the two-year studies, the students are guided to find their author’s or directorial voice and develop their factual storytelling skills. Each semester supports the development of both authorship and technical and analytical skills. Students create one short documentary each semester and complete their studies with a final film.

Step into the world of visual storytelling with our two-week course on the basics of photography and videography! This program is designed for beginners, focusing on practical skills in both photography and videography. In the first week, we will cover photography fundamentals, including camera settings, composition, and lighting. Hands-on activities will allow participants to apply these concepts immediately, building confidence through guided practice.

This course is a hands-on introduction to generative artificial intelligence. You will learn to use AI tools (not just ChatGPT!) to generate and manipulate text and images and analyse textual data. These skills will be put to use right away in the form of a small guided course project, completed in teams of 1-3 participants. The project choice is entirely up to the participants; template project ideas will also be provided.
