The program provides students with the understanding of the essence of politics and international relations and equips them with skills necessary for operation in multicultural setting while making them competent and competitive in an international environment. Graduate students also gain a good understanding of current political, economic, cultural and social processes of the world and get insight into the existing scholarly debates in political science and international relations.

The undergraduate international relations major at Webster is designed to help students develop the skills they need to understand and take part in an interconnected world: political awareness, economic understanding, cultural competency, and global citizenship.

The Master's Degree in International Relations is unique for a number of reasons. Students are able to take advantage of Webster’s global footprint by studying abroad at Webster campuses throughout the world and are taught by faculty who are noted scholars and practitioners in the field.

MA students of International Relations and Politics will be able to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State structures responsible for foreign policy and national security issues, namely, Office of National Security Council, Ministry of Defense, foreign relations departments of various Ministries, NGOs working on international relations and national security issues, research centers, etc.

The Master of International Relations program develops international affairs professionals who understand complex, transnational issues and manage real-world organizations. Students acquire qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and the hands-on management skills required by leaders in the major fields of international affairs and substantive knowledge of a policy concentration and demonstrated foreign language ability.

BA Programme in International Relations was launched in 2010 and is the largest at the faculty. The programme is taught in Georgian as well as in English and aims at providing a modern multidisciplinary knowledge of international relations with essential input from political science, economic and legal disciplines relevant to the field. The programme strengthens students’ competitiveness on the labor market through combining theoretical knowledge with practice.
