To understand how the world works today, you have to understand how politics and economics work. In order to understand what makes politics and economics tick, you have to understand the psychological connections behind them. Our new Bachelor's degree program Psychology, Economics, Politics | PEP promotes an interdisciplinary approach, emphasizes research, and uniquely integrates psychology, economics, and politics. An offer that does not yet exist in Germany and can only be studied at Zeppelin University. By also shedding light on the area of politics, the course goes far beyond the well-known courses in the field of business psychology.
This course of study prepares you optimally for work in NGOs, in political consulting, for jobs in the media and communications agencies as well as in science.
During this course of study, you will deal with, among other things, cognitive, emotional, and motivational aspects of actions, the logic of political decisions and institutions, the functioning of markets, the formation of public and political opinion, political protest, and political participation, among other topics such as social values, value orientations and change in values, social and economic inequality, migration, climate change, and the environment and acquire knowledge of the basics of economic thinking and social science research methods and approaches. The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree program in Psychology, Economics, Politics | PEP is a full-time course in the field of political science.
You will focus on topics that play a crucial role during your studies and, above all, that will prepare you for your future career. The course is interdisciplinary and research-oriented. You will gain basic knowledge of human action and at the same time be able to work on the central solutions to the most important current social problems and also deal with the analysis of political decision-making processes in the field of economics. The fact that hardly any questions remain unanswered is also shown by the supervision ratio of 1:8 between teachers and students.
Our seminars also provide you and your fellow students with theoretical and practical knowledge of psychological decision-making processes, basics of economic thinking, national and international political institutions, social values, value orientation and change in values, and research methods in economics and the social sciences.
