Key Summary

About: The MSc in Civil Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology gives theoretical and practical training in structural design, construction materials and technologies, and static and dynamic analysis of reinforced, prestressed, steel, timber, geotechnical and complex structures. You’ll learn advanced computational modeling and IT solutions, attend lectures, labs, seminars and projects, join research groups and international exchanges, choose electives, and complete a master's thesis. The diploma lets you continue to PhD studies.

Career Outcomes: Graduates are prepared for career opportunities in design offices, construction firms, R&D centers, infrastructure management, consultancy, project and team management, product marketing, international companies.

The students gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills connected with structure design, construction materials, and technologies as well as static and dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, metal, wooden, ground, and complex constructions. They learn how to use advanced computational models and modern IT solutions in civil engineering. In addition to participating in lectures, presentations, labs, seminars, and projects the students may also take part in the student scientific groups and international exchanges. A number of courses can be selected by the students depending on their interests and professional plans. At the end of the MSc study, students write a master's thesis on a subject related to designing engineering structures. The MSc diploma offers an opportunity to continue education at Ph.D. studies.
