Introduction
Westlake University’s Ph.D. in Mathematics program provides support and research on disruptive technologies and innovation in big data, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, life science, medicine, manufacturing, and other fields. Mathematics research includes solving fundamental problems in number theory, algebra, geometry, analysis, topology, equation, probability, and mathematical physics and their application to other areas in statistics, mathematical modeling, scientific computing, and original cutting-edge research within applied sciences.
Currently, Westlake Mathematics faculty focus their research in the areas of Algebra and Number Theory, Geometry and Topology, Analysis and Differential Equations, Computational and Applied Mathematics, and Probability and Statistics.
