Introduction
*All Masters programmes will kick off in September as planned, in a hybrid teaching format. We maintain the personal hands-on learning experience face-to-face, in small rotational learning squads. The vibe on campus will be exactly what you’d expect from Vlerick – energetic, buzzing and full of possibility with room for personal development coaching and international networking.
Gain a solid foundation in all core management disciplines. Whatever your study background, you'll develop well-rounded knowledge and a skillset to maximise your career opportunities.
Develop expertise in a number of specialist areas through a broad offer of electives and hands-on boot camps, and by choosing your own in-company project. For students highly interested in Human resources, we also offer the optional European HRM exchange.

Programme Content
In the first part of the programme, you'll get a broad view of all management domains. Starting with a crash course on management essentials, you then move on to the core subjects. This ensures that everyone, regardless of their study background, masters the basic concepts. Throughout the different modules, you'll be faced with numerous action-learning challenges and personal development exercises.
The international trip will take you to Istanbul, Turkey. Through company visits and hands-on assignments, you'll experience how business is done in different cultures. In the second part of the programme, you'll have the opportunity to tailor your curriculum through a broad range of electives, boot camps and a two-month consultancy project.
Learning Experience
With our Masters in General Management programme, you’ll develop a keen understanding of all core areas of business – as well as the specialist areas you’d like to explore.
This programme forms a bridge between the knowledge you've acquired at university and the practical challenges of the corporate world. Get the insights, skills and confidence you need to put your ideas into practice.
When you join this Masters, you'll be part of a highly diverse group of students, with different academic backgrounds, varied personal interests and career goals. This programme will also take you on an intercultural business trip to Istanbul, where you will discover the challenges of international business through a mix of company visits and lectures.
After you have completed the broad overview of all core management areas, you will have ample choice of electives and specialised boot camps to tailor the curriculum to your interest and future career path.

- Academic Merit Scholarship: Please note that applications for the Academic Merit Scholarships have been closed for intake September 2024.
Provide us with proof of your excellent academic track record and get a scholarship of up to 50%. To qualify for this scholarship: - You need study results equal to great or greatest distinction at Bachelors level for Belgian degrees or study results within top 20% of class at Bachelors level for non-Belgian degrees.
OR - You need to have obtained outstanding GMAT/GMAT Focus (> 700/> 655) or GRE (> 164 quantitative and > 163 verbal) scores.
- You need study results equal to great or greatest distinction at Bachelors level for Belgian degrees or study results within top 20% of class at Bachelors level for non-Belgian degrees.
OR - You need to have obtained outstanding GMAT/GMAT Focus (> 700/> 655) or GRE (> 164 quantitative and > 163 verbal) scores.
- You need study results equal to great or greatest distinction at Bachelors level for Belgian degrees or study results within top 20% of class at Bachelors level for non-Belgian degrees.

- Financial Need Scholarship: This scholarship can be combined with other scholarships. To apply, you will need a realistic financial plan and proof of financial need (e.g. through previous scholarships or grants). The scholarship allocation and amount are decided on a case-by-case basis. We thank MGM1990 alumni, and MGM1992 alumni for each sponsoring a full scholarship and 3d Investors for sponsoring three full scholarships in this category. Applicants who fit the criteria will automatically be considered for this full scholarship.
