Master's Degree in Social Work in the Health Field

Comprehensive training in social intervention in the health field, with which you will deepen both intervention techniques and evaluation skills

Social Health Work evaluates the biopsychosocial factors that affect the health-disease process, as well as the treatment of socio-sanitary problems from an interdisciplinary perspective. This Master responds to the current need to provide specialization to Social Workers in the health field, offering you, for this purpose, training focused on the areas and fields of social intervention and delving into both intervention methods and techniques as well as the skills and competencies of evaluation, diagnosis and socio-sanitary management.

The Master in Social Work in the Health Field provides you with tools for management, planning, assistance and monitoring from a biopsychosocial and holistic perspective, allowing you to broaden the vision of comprehensive care and focus not only on the health problems that a patient presents , but also in the social factors or determinants (family, economic, work, etc.) that may constitute risk or protective factors against these health problems.

Thanks to a faculty made up of outstanding professionals and a study plan carefully designed to respond to the real needs of professional practice, this master's degree will allow you to successfully face socio-health care from the perspective of Social Work. Information on external practices

Oriented to the integration of the student in a multidisciplinary team with the aim of collaborating in the study and treatment of the social factors that condition individual, family and community health. Direct contact is made with the professional reality of the field, both at the level of care and management and planning, so that they can put into practice the performance of a supervised socio-sanitary intervention.

TFM information

The TFM will consist of the design, realization, presentation and defense of a scientific work in which the competences, knowledge and skills acquired during the Master's course are reflected. For its preparation, the bibliographic review process, the integration of information from a critical and analytical perspective, the design of the work and the scientific writing of the same, as well as the formal written presentation and its oral defense will be essential.
