Introduction
The Graduate Certificate in Culturally Responsive Leadership prepares students for leadership roles that create, maintain and support a sense of belonging, particularly for marginalized populations in schools or education-related organizations. The curriculum will develop students’ knowledge and skills of organizational and community leadership that promote equitable and inclusive school environments, education-related organizations, and communities.
Additional program topics include historical and current factors that affect schools and leadership; how empathy, trust, and bias influence leadership; methods of action research; and how to use research to engage stakeholders.
Upon completion of the 15-credit-hour program, students will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and skills in culturally responsive leadership.
