Introduction
The Bachelor in Nursing program aims to prepare competent nurses with the knowledge, skills and abilities of nursing science and practice, who can develop and improve professional, leadership, and teamwork competencies in pursuit of individual, family, community and public health. Upon completion of the four-year bachelor's degree in nursing, graduates will obtain a university bachelor's degree and a professional qualification as a general practice nurse.

Program Outcome
After graduating from the four-year first cycle studies of Nursing, the graduates will acquire a Bachelor’s degree and a professional qualification of a general practice nurse. The graduates will be able to work at health care institutions of different levels (primary, secondary, and tertiary): hospitals, polyclinics, primary health care centres, and private health care centres. In addition, they will be able to work with nursing student mentors at healthcare institutions. Moreover, they will be able to start an independent nursing practice.
After graduating from the first cycle Nursing study programme, the graduates may continue their studies in the second cycle study programmes.
Career Opportunities
- A graduate in nursing can work in hospitals, clinics, or private health care centres. They can also mentor nursing students or start their practice within the laws of Lithuania.
- Students with a bachelor's degree can continue their studies in Lithuanian and foreign higher education institutions according to university second-cycle (master's) study programs of the same study group.
