Introduction

Brief Introduction

The 3½-year full-degree programme in Value Chain Management is taught in English and prepares students for careers in business and industry. You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to manage the way businesses receive raw materials as input, add value to the raw materials through various processes, and furthermore sell finished products to customers. This is achieved through analyses, improvement, and innovation of value chains in global business environments. The programme takes place at Campus Horsens and at Campus Aarhus C.

Content and Structure

The aim of the Value Chain Management programme is to provide you with an overview of the network of processes that lead to the production and marketing of goods. You will learn to look at these processes from an overall perspective.

The programme covers seven semesters dealing with several different subjects such as Market-Oriented Supply Chain Management. Each semester is concluded with a semester project.

The programme alternates between individual work and group work, and it combines theory and practice through project work. From the 1st semester, all projects will be carried out in close cooperation with different companies giving you the opportunity of working with real-life challenges.

During the 5th semester of this programme, you have the opportunity to gain practical experience through a work placement period, which involves working for an international company in Denmark or abroad.

On the 6th semester, you will choose a profile while the final 7th semester will focus on the Bachelor project.

The flexibility of the programme and the variety of electives also allow you to create your own study profile and specialization.

Specialisations and Career Opportunities

The programme is built around themes which lead you toward two profiles:

Global Business Development
Information Technology and Production Management
