Vatel Bahrain's Bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management is a 4 year programme, including a Foundation Year, designed specifically for the hospitality industry. The programme follows Vatel’s unique 50% academic and 50% practical training model, where students alternate between two weeks of theoretical learning on campus and two weeks of practical application in luxury partner hotels. This structure allows students to immediately apply what they learn in real hospitality environments while developing professional discipline and operational expertise. The second semester of each academic year is dedicated entirely to professional internships, allowing students to gain industry experience locally and internationally.
Students are introduced to Marketing, Human Resources, Administration and Professional Culture. They also learn the rudiments of Catering and Culinary Arts, as well as how to address constraints and unexpected events that arise in Banqueting, Reception and Seminars. In Year 2 while continuing to enhance their theoretical knowledge, students are introduced to management. Students gain in self-confidence and do an internship in a foreign country other than France.
In Year 3 having learned the fundamentals needed to begin team management, students now apply this knowledge in their third and final year. They develop their analytical skills while using the knowledge acquired thus far in the program. They are able to devise strategies and take their first managerial decisions.
