Introduction
This programme explores key topics such as intercultural communication, mediation, conflict resolution, and the sociology of migration. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of how cultural factors shape social dynamics and contribute to major societal changes such as globalisation, urbanisation, and labour market transformations. The curriculum blends theoretical insights with real-world applications, equipping students with the skills to manage conflicts, facilitate dialogue, and foster understanding across cultural boundaries.
Through internships, collaborative projects, and research, students will develop practical skills in negotiation, mediation, and social research methods. The programme takes an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating insights from social psychology, migration studies, urban sociology, and gender studies. Graduates will be well-equipped for careers in a variety of fields, including mediation, public administration, social integration, and business, with roles such as intercultural communication specialists, conflict resolution experts, or diversity and inclusion managers.

Program Outcome
The graduates of the Intercultural mediation program will acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies which they can use in their professional work in the areas of intercultural communication (on the local and corporate levels), conflict resolutions, and actions aimed at social integration as well as practical (quantitative and qualitative) social research on the problems of multiculturalism, migration and social changes taking place globally and in Central and Eastern Europe. The program will prepare them to work as experts in the state and local administration, non-governmental organizations, and private sector companies offering them transferable skills in the areas of multiculturalism, diversity management, and cultural conflict resolution.
Curriculum
The program involves 905 teaching hours (121 ECTS). The particular focus of the "Intercultural mediation" program is on the local, regional (Central and Eastern European) and global dimensions of culture and multiculturalism.
