It is the core purpose of the College to prepare competent, caring, and qualified professionals in the fields of education, psychology and counseling and to advance the knowledge base in our respective disciplines.

We are a diverse college, with programs in education and psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels that prepare graduates for positions in schools, agencies and businesses, and for further graduate study. We offer three bachelor's degrees, eight master's degrees, a post-master's superintendent's certification program, and a post-baccalaureate teacher certification program.

Close working relationships with schools and agencies in the East Texas region provide numerous opportunities for faculty and students to engage in service and research and to find quality placements in internships and practical.
